Last updated: September 2, 2026. This policy explains when fees paid to Jay Matchmaker can be refunded.
We keep our fees simple and our refund rules clear. Accidental or duplicate charges are refunded in full in every case. Beyond that, refunds are only available where this policy says so.
The one-time $10 VIP access fee unlocks your VIP portal account and your ability to view profiles. It is not a matching fee. Once paid, the fee is non-refundable — including after your portal has been activated and profiles have been viewed. Where an access token is used in place of the fee, no payment is required and no refund applies.
The $30 private matching fee is only charged after a member you are interested in has also expressed interest in you and both of you have chosen to take the match. A single $30 payment covers up to three (3) successful matches. A match counts as successful once both sides have confirmed their consent and the contact details for the match have been unlocked and shared.
If you are charged twice, charged by mistake, or charged without a completed transaction, we will refund the incorrect amount in full. Contact us with your receipt or payment reference and we will resolve it, typically within 5–7 business days.
Counselling sessions are currently free. If a paid counselling service is ever introduced, the fee is refundable only if requested before the session is delivered.
Donations are voluntary gifts to Jay's foundation and are non-refundable.
If you dispute a charge with your bank before giving us the chance to resolve it, please note that a chargeback cancels the related service. We do not block legitimate refunds that fall under this policy.
